KATY, TX (Katy News Coverage) – Nearly a year after a soft opening, Strong Pilates Cinco Ranch has built a dedicated membership base for men and women who say the studio delivers real results in just 45 minutes – a workout after school, work schedules and everything in between.
The studio was founded by three working mothers and best friends – Dina Nada, Noha Desuki and Mona Hussain-Zaki – who juggled corporate careers while bringing the concept of a strong palette to their community. The studio is part of a network of more than 100 studios worldwide. Workouts combine Pilates-inspired movements, resistance training and cardio, and are designed with efficiency and results in mind.
Strong Pilates believes that people want to get results and build confidence. Unlike traditional Pilates, there is more sweat, more progress and incredible results. With fusion classes on the rise, gyms and trainers are constantly looking for ways to optimize the workout. Strong Pilates has found a winning formula, and the result: customers who feel the difference.
“We built Strong Pilates Cinco Ranch to not only be a studio, but a place where people can reconnect with themselves—physically, mentally and socially,” Hussain Zaki said at the June 2024 opening. “It’s about progress, not perfection—and about feeling stronger in every way.”
The results speak for themselves. Ksenia Krylova, a Katy resident, University of Houston faculty member and mother, said she has attended nearly 200 classes since opening day and has only missed a few — fitting in classes every day around her children’s schedules.
“I was immediately hooked,” Krylova said. “I was surprised when I went to Katy that there really weren’t many studios for wellness and fitness.”
Krylova said she was looking for a stand-alone studio in Katy that combined strength training, mobility and cardio in one effective class. Strong Pilates immediately filled that gap.
“It’s just a combination of everything, and you’re doing all the things at the same time,” she said. “The weights alone are tiring. The cardio just gets the heart rate pumping. And the stretching is also kind of meditative and separate for me. So it’s a good combination.”
For Johnna Sayer, who lives in the Monument area, the studio is worth the 30-minute drive. She’s been a member since the studio opened and says it’s the result of six years of solo gym sessions, yoga and chit pilates combined.
“These are by far the most results I’ve ever seen in a gym setting,” Sayer said. “I appreciate a gym where it’s never easy. The whole point of going to the gym for me is to fight.”
Sayer said the combination of constantly updating the program and on-screen instructions — with an experienced instructor correcting form in every 45-minute class — keeps him coming back.
“They do all the programs so you get your strength training, your cardio and your Pilates, and it’s all planned out for you,” she said. “You just show up.”
The studio offers 12 treadmills and five bicycles; Equipment that’s part reformer, part rower or bike—combines a reformer palette with resistance and endurance training. Classes are designed as low-impact, high-intensity workouts suitable for all fitness levels.
Krylova, who got to know the owners through her children’s joint activities in the neighborhood, said the studio has become more than a gym.
“I am a supporter of women’s small businesses,” she said. “I’m so glad they’re here, because it just allows all the moms and dads to take care of themselves while the kids do their thing.”
The studio has already hosted a Lululemon event and a back-to-school bash and is planning a spring celebration in April. The owners also collaborate with local schools, small businesses and wellness brands to bring more to their members and the Kitty community.
