Is health the new luxury? All signs point to yes: the $6.3 health industry is booming, with 60 percent of luxury consumers plans to increase their welfare spending in 2026. The rise of luxury clubs like Remedy Place in New York and the newly opened Sainte-Roch in Paris prove that the appetite is there, at least in a certain sector of the rich and stylish. So, it’s no surprise that wellness enthusiasts are buzzing about it Amrit’s room– A machine that looks like a space-age tanning bed with a design inspired by NASA’s zero-gravity body positioning research.
The aptly named chamber promises to improve your body, mind, brain, and nervous system, envisioning itself as a long-term lab, mindset trainer, and biohacking concept all in one. The machine is quietly thriving in health clubs, long-term clinics, five-star resorts, and professional sports suites across the country—not to mention the homes of elite athletes and aspiring biohackers who crave the astronomical price tag.
Here’s what to know about the (literal) booze treatment—plus, my first-hand review.
What is Amrit Chamber?
Convenient hotels
The Amrit Chamber bills itself as a human “recharging” station. It’s unique in that it combines multiple wellness modalities into a single, immersive experience that benefits your mind and body for a holistic wellness “stack.” In strictly scientific terms, it delivers red and near-infrared light, pulsed electromagnetic fields (PEMF), and molecular hydrogen to the body. “Red light has been linked to improved cognition, reduced inflammation, improved skin and increased ATP. [cellular energy] Production, says Neil Palvin, DOa physician specializing in functional and regenerative medicine. He adds that PEMF reduces inflammation And is especially beneficial for those recovering from an injury. Meanwhile Research Shows that molecular hydrogen is anti-inflammatory, has antioxidant properties, and is beneficial for regulating energy metabolism and immune function.
On top of these three modalities, the nectar chamber also offers guided meditation, breathing, and vibroacoustic sound therapy—each of which flows in and out of the experience—to relax and regulate your nervous system to complete the treatment. “All coordinated to put the nervous system out of fight or flight and [ease] Mind a relaxed, present state,” he says motherless Co-founder Brian Lee Gate.
While red light therapy has grown in popularity in recent years and meditation has been practiced for centuries, the nectar chamber is designed for modern efficiency. Even a 25-minute session promises to leave you feeling refreshed, relaxed and ready to conquer the rest of your day—no caffeine required.
In the world of elite sports, the chamber has become a low-key recovery flex. Everyone from NFL and MLB stars to The world’s greatest tennis players Enter the chamber to speed recovery, boost energy and reduce pain. But there are benefits for the rest of us too – including but not limited to improved skin quality, hair growth, less fatigue, and (supposedly) better focus. While most ratings are subjective, regulars often measure changes through wearable tech, such as the Aura Ring.
cost
Sessions typically start around $125, depending on factors such as location and package prices. It’s undoubtedly more than your standard latte, but the promise feels closer to a full system refresh. And with continued use, devotees say it can significantly change how they feel and function.
You can buy this machine for your home for a modest $160,000, which some elite athletes and biohackers already own.
My review of Amrit Chamber
I tried the nectar chamber at two of its Los Angeles locations: the first at Heal East to West in Manhattan Beach, and later on Convenient hotel in Santa Monica (where chamber access is accessible The perfect club members, hotel guests, and the general public alike). Both visits fall in the midst of packed work trips and long travel days: prime conditions for a mind-body reset.
There are seven guided tours to choose from, ranging from relaxation, awakening, or hybrid experiences, which will vary based on meditation cues and the style of music played throughout. I opted for “Release,” which was designed to clear blocked emotional energy. (I actually have all the feelings and a A long history of anxiety to support it.) According to Meno, it’s meant to keep you “confident, alert, and moving forward with purpose,” with a “pulsing, rhythmic frequency that boosts motivation and strength.” I was very open to the job.
After choosing my tour, audio guide, and duration (15, 25, or 50 minutes—I chose the middle ground, which is enough for quick progress without a huge time commitment), I donned protective eyewear and a nasal cannula that delivers molecular hydrogen before setting off. The audio guide prompts deep breathing and intention setting as the red light turns on, the PEMF pulse begins, and the chamber slowly descends.
Once inside, the chamber penetrates you so you are disconnected from the outside world. Red and near-infrared light is bright and slightly warm. PEMF stimulates a gentle sensation in your skin. You also feel the vibroacoustic pulse through your body, as if you were in a surround sound theater but in the form of a cocoon. An audio guide is available to support your meditation at the beginning and end of the session, and you are advised to revisit your intention when your mind wanders. A lot goes on throughout the journey, but it never feels rushed. The place has everything perfectly and you never feel disturbed from the comfort state.
When each session was over, it was clear that I had been through something. I wouldn’t call it psychedelic, but it’s definitely…exciting. Amberball’s team says that the chamber produces a caffeinated relaxation, which seems about right to an extent. I didn’t really feel like I woke up or just drank enough coffee – but I felt relaxed and rejuvenated in ways neither of those normally do for me. It offered an option that allowed me to stay clear headed and company for my work trips without relying on my afternoon cold brew.
Amrit Chamber positions itself as a complete mind-body reset not only for elite professionals like athletes and CEOs, but also for those of us who don’t have a doctor on speed dial. “Everyone needs less inflammation, better cellular function, and less oxidative stress,” LeGatt says. “Almost every person comes to us in a fight or flight phase, so they need to relax the nervous system and the conscious mind as well.” It gets the seal of approval from Dr. Paulone, who says people are likely to get more out of a stack, as opposed to using a tool or two individually. “It complements the wellness protocol because it reduces inflammation and helps improve mitochondrial function, which are key to aging,” he says.
The Takeaway
The nectar chamber may not be the most accessible health device on the market—not just because of the price, but because it’s just around the corner. 50 locations Nationwide, with plans for more. Still, it presents an idea that is moving towards luxury comfort: high technology, high quality, and deep passion.
